![]() ![]() Psalm 139 reminds us today that God has created each of us masterfully and loves us intimately. and sometime between 9-10 weeks, this preborn wonder squints, swallows and begins to moves his/her tongue.this new life in utero sucks its thumb at 7 weeks.fingerprints are completely formed during the 4 th week of development.an unborn baby’s heart begins to beat at 18 days after conception.I give you thanks that I am fearfully, wonderfully made. They can’t accept the dignity of the other person or love themselves as a unique and valuable person.Īs we celebrate October as Respect Life Month, the second part of this psalm is a wonderful reminder of the mystery of birth and the sanctity of all life: Unfortunately, many problems and horrific situations in our world are caused by people’s inability and unwillingness to see themselves or others as beautiful creatures of God. But God isn’t “big brother” watching over our every thought and deed rather, God loved us into being, knows and accepts us as we are. It expresses that God knows us intimately when it continues, “ with all my ways you are familiar”. O LORD, you have probed me and you know me ![]() I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made your works are wonderful. The first verse gets across the idea of how well we are known by God: For you created my inmost being you knit me together in my mothers womb. It celebrates all creation, particularly the creation of the human being. It’s the ultimate feel good psalm because it has the ability to comfort, soothe and inspire.
